Discover the 2024 Ford Explorer: Versatility and Comfort

Comfortable and Convenient Cabin

The Explorer’s cabin has comfortable seating, especially for the driver. The 8-way power driver’s seat makes it easy to get your chair into the perfect position to support you on even the longest trips. The front seat passenger can manually adjust their seat in 4 directions.

The second row comfortably seats adults and teenagers, while the third row is perfect for kids. It’s very easy to get into the third row, as the second row seamlessly slides out of the way to let people get by.

Cargo Space and Towing Abilities

The Explorer has plenty of space for cargo. With the second and third rows out of the way, there are 87.8 cubic feet of space for your items. If you have the second row up, but the third row flat, then you’ve got 47.9 cubic feet of space to fill up. Behind the third row, you’ll find 18.2 cubic feet of space for you to pack in everything you need to transport.

If you’re transporting something that’s much too big to go in the cabin, then you can hitch up a trailer and start hauling. The vehicle’s maximum towing capacity is 5,600 pounds. To achieve this, you need the Class IV Trailer Tow Package on a four-wheel-drive model that has the 3-liter EcoBoost V6 engine. Even models with the lowest towing capacity can still tow up to 5,300 pounds.

Excellent Technology

There’s a plethora of technology in the Explorer. The vehicle has smartphone compatibility and Wi-Fi capability, standard SiriusXM, and an incredible sound system. The sound system is by Bang & Olufsen, boasting 14 speakers, including a subwoofer to make the bass in your music sound great.

There’s one USB-A and one USB-C input in the media hub to help you keep your devices powered up. There are also five 12V powerpoints: two in the first row, two in the second, and one in the cargo area.

Powerful Engine Options

There are different engines you can equip your Explorer with. The base engine is a 2.3-liter EcoBoost I-4 gas engine delivering 300 horsepower and 310 lb-ft of torque. It gives your Explorer plenty of power for towing, and it delivers a ride that feels authoritative. If you’d like a stronger engine that provides a more athletic performance, then get a model with the 3-liter V6.
